  And a note on fumigation.....

Tape an index card on the top of the container you use for fumigation. When you put a doll or object into the fumigation container, mark the current date and the date in six weeks, as a reminder.

Paradechlorobenzene (PDB) (Moth crystals) is an effective fumigant for insect pests. Take the following steps for effective fumigation: 1. Place the object to be fumigated on the bottom of a deep cardboard box or polyethylene garbage can that has a top that can be securely fastened. The box or can should be lined with clean, washed, unbleached muslin. 2. Suspend the PDB crystals above the object, making sure the crystals do not touch the object. Do this by placing the crystals in a cheesecloth or muslin bags or squares and tying the tops leaving long ends on the ties. The ends are then placed over the edges of the container and secured on the outside with tape or elastic cord. 3. The recommended dosage is 9 lbs. per 1000 cubic feet in a sealed container. This means that a 32-gallon Rubber Maid trash receptacle requires approximately one-half cup of crystals. The amount of crystals used is not dependant on the size of the object to be fumigated, but rather on the volume of the container.A minimum of six weeks of fumigation is needed.
