About Connie Lowe
Connie Lowe is a renowned doll artist known for her ball-jointed dolls (BJDs) that pay tribute to family memories and the history of the Depression Era. Since 2009, she has created emotionally rich dolls that reflect the resilience and spirit of children growing up during challenging times, particularly through her popular Stella doll series. Her work is deeply influenced by her family heritage and antique fabrics, combining nostalgia with detailed, historically inspired costumes. Lowe’s dolls are celebrated for their expressive personalities and realistic features, capturing both innocence and determination. She continues to innovate in doll artistry while honoring the past, supported by a dedicated collector community and her family.
Join us for an afternoon visit with Connie and Stella.
Connie will read a short story about how Stella met Meili and discuss the concepts and inspirations behind her dolls, focusing on Stella and her friends.
The session will include a visual presentation alongside the discussion. In the last few minutes, there will be a Q&A session where attendees can ask questions.
