About Marlene Xenis

Marlene Xenis is the artist behind Xenis Gallery, a Canadian studio internationally known for its beautifully crafted wooden dolls. Since creating her first doll in 1995, Marlene has developed a distinctive body of work admired by collectors for its artistry, design, and enduring appeal. Her dolls reflect a lifelong commitment to imaginative craftsmanship and the hand-made traditions that UFDC members value so deeply. Marlene and the Xenis team are honored to create an exclusive collectible for the 2026 UFDC National Convention in New Orleans, continuing a shared celebration of dolls, artistry, and collecting.

Amid the bustling crowd, Hitty picks up on a familiar, fascinating speech pattern that surprises her—it's not coming from the adults or children.
